I am amazed to see how certain situations in our lives make us do things we were not in favour of in the past.Things get complicated and we get entangled in them.We tend to take steps which we always thought are wrong. We narrow our perspective only because the broader view is painful.Everyone around changes, time changes, and we too change. But the question is till what extent should we let the world define us?Should we let our conscience die just because it makes us alive in a supposed manner?Should we stop introspecting and thinking just because this makes us sad?....
I am lost. This is a poem about how we do the wrong things even though we know where we are going...
LOST!!!
He stands there in an oasis of happiness
Well aware of the surrounding emptiness
This is not an illusion, but a glimpse of the unknown
His eyes, fascinated, blind to a world, his own
This is not where he belongs to, but wants to stay here
To play with and experience this fake life of only laughter and no fear
The child in him sprouts up, making the old man snore
And he becomes the one he never wanted to be more and more
He knows the right and the wrong, but to all this he turns his back
Faint calls from back home, but his ears is what they lack
Eyes are closed to the consequences right ahead
Set on that moment of unseen joy and life instead
But this moment is sure to pass, the eyes sure to see
Hope, then he will return, regretful but wiser and free...
